Memorial service for Sfiso Ncwane in Mthwalume

The memorial service of South African gospel singer, Sfiso Ncwane, gets underway today in his home town of Mthwalume, on the KZN south coast.
This is the first of three planned memorial services that will be held for the KZN-born star - who died at the Fourways Life Hospital in Johannesburg on Monday, from kidney failure.
According to a statement issued by his family, the musician was gravely ill on Sunday at his Johannesburg home.
Organised by the Mzumbe Municipality, the memorial service will take place at the Esibanini Community Hall in Mthwalume.

Another service will be held at the eThekwini Community Church in Durban, while the third memorial is to be held at the Grace Bible Church in Soweto.
Ncwane won a South African Music Award for record of the year in 2013, for his hit song, Kulungile Baba.
He will be laid to rest at the Hereos Acre in Chesterville - where Bafana Bafana player, Senzo Meyiwa, and struggle stalwart, Nat Nakasa - are also buried.
