MEC Khoza condemns sexual abuse of three Nkandla teens
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
KZN Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza has condemned the sexual abuse and exploitation of three children in Nkandla in northern KZN.

It’s alleged the girls, aged between 13 and 15 years, were paid for sex.
Khoza said their grandmother is alleged to have had a hand in facilitating trips to a salon in Kranskop town for several months, and demanding payments afterwards.
Two of the girls have since fallen pregnant.
"This case represents a grave violation of children's rights and a despicable act of grooming vulnerable young girls into becoming sex slaves. We want a thorough and expeditious investigation by law enforcement agencies to ensure that all individuals involved in the exploitation of these innocent children face the full might of the law,” said Khoza.
A family representative has told Newswatch that two suspects have been arrested and are due back in the Ntunjambili Magistrate’s Court at the end of the month.
Khoza said they have sent a team of social workers to the victims’ families to provide them with psycho-social support.
"There could be no justification whatsoever for anyone to subject children to such abuse. We acknowledge the importance of providing comprehensive support systems and addressing the root causes of such incidents in our communities to protect vulnerable families and ensure the well-being of children.”
