Mbeki on govt corruption during Zuma years

Former president, Thabo has told an international publication that government corruption thrived under the leadership of Jacob Zuma.
The former statesman has been speaking to Spanish newspaper El Pais.
In the interview, Mbeki says some members joined the ANC and government - post-democracy - for self-enrichment. He says corruption is not limited to one individual.
Zuma now faces Zuma faces 16 charges of corruption, fraud, money laundering, and racketeering in connection to the so-called arms deal.
The Hawks have served the former statesman's legal team with a court summons. He's due to appear in the Durban High Court on April 6.
Zuma resigned as head of state last month - following the ANC’s decision to recall him.
