The alliance says they've chosen March 21 for the protest to highlight what they claim is a violation of the community's human rights.

The old racecourse site will be developed into a logistics hub. This resident has environmental concerns.

"There's going to be a lot more traffic and it's going to be a lot harder for us to enter and exit our residential areas. That's not considering the fact of all the environmental factors such as noise and air pollution," he said.

Officials say the development is expected to create nearly 19 000 jobs in the construction period.

They say more than 4600 permanent jobs will created during the project which was compliant with EIA regulations.
