Mashatile launches city clean-up campaign
Updated | By Bulletin
Deputy President Paul Mashatile has promised there will be a wider rollout of a clean-up campaign targeting cities and towns.

He launched the initiative in Kliptown, Soweto on Friday, saying it will go beyond Johannesburg.
Mashatile says they are aiming for cleaner, greener, and more inclusive communities and has encouraged people to take pride in the spaces they live in.
He says while there will be government involvement, they want communities to also take initiative.

" We started this as a joint initiative between national government and SALGA (South African Logal Government Association), and we want it to be rolled out throughout the country. We want to involve people.
"We are not going to clean for people. We're going to clean with them. We must want to live in clean spaces as a people."
