Manhunt launched after 8 killed in Umlazi shooting

KZN Police have launched a manhunt for suspects behind a mass shooting that left eight people dead in Umlazi, south of Durban.

Multiple officials responded to the scene at Zama informal settlement at U Section last night.
Provincial SAPS spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda, says the victims, aged between 22 and 40, were found with multiple gunshot wounds.

"It is reported that the victims were inside the dwelling when an unknown number of suspects entered and opened fire, killing them at the scene. Investigations into the possible motive of the killings are .
"Police are appealing to anyone who might have information which can assist in the investigation to contact the nearest police station or call the crime stop number, 08600 10111."
