Manguzi road upgrade to boost local economy: Chikunga
Updated | By Tamasha Khanyi
Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga says a completed multi-million rand road upgrade in Manguzi, in northern KZN, will benefit the economy in the area.
She visited the R22 road project in the uMkhanyakude District Municipality, which is home to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.
"This area is regarded as a tourist destination and therefore it would be very easy for tourists to come to this area to see the Wetlands but also to invest in the area."
The revamped R22 connects the N2 at Hluhluwe with the Mozambique border at Kosi Bay.
