Man stabbed to death in Waterloo

An investigation is under way after a man was found stabbed to death on the side of the road in Waterloo, north of Durban.

The 35-year-old's body was discovered on Saturday afternoon at the corner of Pumpkin Crescent and Prickly Pear Road.
First responders group Reaction Unit South Africa says the victim had a single stab wound to the chest.
"Upon declaring the man deceased, reaction officers were dispatched to the location after it was established that he had been murdered,” says spokesperson, Prem Balram.

“Witnesses revealed that he had been consuming alcohol at a nearby tavern during a birthday celebration before leaving with a drinking buddy, who stabbed him during an altercation.”
