Man shot and killed in Westville

A man in his forties has been shot and killed in the Durban suburb of Westville.

Details surrounding the shooting are still not clear.
Rescue Care emergency services was called out to Chearsley Road, shortly after the incident - where they found the victim in a critical condition.
The service's Garrith Jamieson says he sustained a single gunshot wound.
"Advanced Life Support Paramedics tried to stabilise the man on scene. However, due to the serious wound he sustained, he went into cardiac arrest. Four resuscitation attempts were made, however the man passed away on the scene," he said.
"At this stage the exact cause of the shooting is unknown, however Westville SAPS were in attendance and will be doing a thorough investigation," Jamieson said.
