Man killed in multi-vehicle crash on N3 Ashburton
A person has been killed in a crash involving two trucks and a delivery van on the N3 near Pietermaritzburg.
ALS Paramedics's Garrith Jamieson says they arrived on the scene to find the driver of the delivery van trapped in the wreckage on Friday.
"Paramedics did a quick triage and found that the driver of the light delivery vehicle was severely entrapped in the wreckage.

“ALS Paramedics staff assessed the man and found a male believed to be in his fifties had sustained major injuries, and there was nothing paramedics could do. He was declared deceased on the scene.
"There were no other injuries. The entire N3 Pietermaritzburg-bound is closed to traffic as a result of this collision.”
Jamieson says police are at the crash site and will investigate.
