Man killed in horror Chatsworth crash

An investigation has begun into a single-vehicle crash that left a man dead in Chatsworth, south of Durban.

The vehicle burst into flames after slamming into a tree on Higginson Highway on Saturday night.
It is not clear what caused the car to veer off the road.

"Just before 6pm, multiple ambulances and Advanced Life Support paramedics responded to the horror crash,” said ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson.
“Paramedics arrived on scene to find the eThekweni Fire Department already tackling the vehicle fire. The driver, believed to be the only occupant in the vehicle, unfortunately was unable to get out of the vehicle in time and passed away on the scene."
