Man appears in court after R2m Chatsworth drug bust

A 52-year-old man has appeared in court following a R2 million drug bust in Chatsworth, south of Durban.
He was arrested on Thursday night after police received reports of an illegal drug trade at a house in the area.
Officers swooped in on the property on Montford Road to execute a search warrant.
Police say they confiscated various drugs, including heroin capsules, rock cocaine and crystal meth.

They also found over R13 000 in cash suspected to be the proceeds of the drug trade.
The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is R2 185 000.
The suspect appeared before the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court on Friday on charges of possession and dealing in drugs.
