Khoza hearing to go ahead despite request for postponement
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
While the lawyer representing ANC MP Makhosi Khoza wants the ANC in KZN to put Khoza's disciplinary hearing on hold, provincial party officials are insisting it goes ahead.
Advocate Smange Sethene says the hearing - rescheduled for this Sunday - should be suspended because of the Pietermaritzburg High Court ruling this week that the 2015 ANC provincial conference and the decisions taken there were unlawful.
The KZN ANC says it will be appealing the judgement.
Khoza is accused of ill-discipline and bringing the party into disrepute following her public calls for President Zuma to step down.

ANC KZN spokesperson, Mdumiseni Ntuli says the hearing will proceed as planned.
"The ANC would not accept the reasoning behind the request for the postponement. The reasoning was always there, it was dismissed by the provincial secretary and the secretary general of the ANC. We still expect Comrade Makhosi to appear before the party's disciplinary committee on Sunday," he says.
