LISTEN: Voter registration drive kicks off

Voting stations across the country have opened their doors for the important voter registration weekend.
The IEC is urging all South Africans who are eligible to vote to register and check that their address information is correct ahead of next year's General Elections.
Registering and checking details can be done at your voting station between 8am and 5pm today and tomorrow.

KwaZulu-Natal electoral manager Mawethu Mosery says the drive forms part of the preparations for next year's polls.
People wanting to check their registration details or address on the voters' roll must take their green, bar-coded ID books, smartcard ID or a valid temporary identity certificate with them.
