LISTEN: Durban residents speak ahead of local elections

Violence ahead of the 2016 local government elections remains a serious concern but some Durbanites say it will not deter them from making their mark on August 3.
Election-related violence has played out in Durban, other parts of KZN and South Africa as a whole in recent months with security experts and political analysts warning incidents could continue.
Several ANC, IFP and NFP members have been killed recently with their murders thought to be politically motivated.
