LGBTQI+ group demands no bail for Sphamandla Khoza's murder suspect

An LGBTQI+ advocacy group's demanding no bail for the man accused of murdering Ntuzuma resident, Sphamandla Khoza.

The 34-year-old's family believes he was the victim of a homophobic attack.
Thando Mgenge - who turned himself in to police - is to apply for bail on Monday.

The Gay And Lesbian Alliance of SA's Amasu Magwaza said: "We won't be safe if we know that he is granted bail."
"Us going there to attend and protest it's to show that we are requesting no bail."
"As the LGBTQI, we have rights as well to live freely in a community that we are placed in."
The activist has also called for more representation of the gay community in the government.
