Ladysmith man in dock for killing baby

A 36-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of a baby is due to stand before a magistrate on Monday. 

The child was killed in Ladysmith on Friday. 

The man is believed to be related to the victim. 

"A case of murder is being investigated by Ladysmith SAPS. It is alleged that on the 17th of December, an eight months baby girl was killed by a known suspect," says KZN police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala.

"The 36-year-old suspect was placed under arrest for murder and he will appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate Court on charges of murder."
