Updated | By Portia Cele
Ladysmith Black Mambazo says they are honoured to still be representing local music on the global arena - 55 years on.
Yesterday - their latest record 'Music from Inala: A Zulu Ballet' was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best World Music Album category.
The KZN choral group previously received 16 nominations and bagged the coveted award for the fourth time last year.
Executive producer, Xolani Majozi says it's a privilege to still resonate with audiences worldwide.
"If we bring this Grammy home, we will not only be bringing it to Durban or KZN or South Africa but to Africa and representing all Africans - arts and culure as well as African heritage," he said.
Flautist Wouter Kellerman, from Johannesburg, has been nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.
