KZN Sharks Board expects more beaches to be reopened

The
KZN Sharks Board says it expects more beaches to be
reopened on Friday after closures across eThekwini this week.

The municipality prohibit water activities after heavy the heavy storm.
Saying that debris and logs had washed into the sea, clogging shark nets or damaging the barriers at most of the City's beaches.

Amanzimtoti, Margate, South Port, and Ramsgate beaches reopened on Thursday.
The board's Wayne Harrison says they've been monitoring the situation.
"We do appeal to members of the public that abide by the lifeguard decisions and rules and chat to the lifeguards before venturing into the water and will make every effort to open up bathing as soon as possible."
