KZN Public Servants Association calls for social worker employment
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Unemployed social workers have been picketing outside the premier's office in Pietermaritzburg.

They have taken to the streets to demand permanent jobs for more than 2,600 social workers.
Protesters filled Langilabele Street on Wednesday, saying they've been sitting at home with degrees since 2013, and others from as far back as 2003.
Roshan Lil-Ruthan is the chief negotiator for the KZN Public Servants Association, which has come out in solidarity with the social workers.
He says the Department of Social Development hasn't been advertising job posts from 2020, which has resulted in a huge deficit of psychologists in KZN.
