KZN to prioritise 14 schools after storm - Ntuli
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli
says government will prioritise 14 schools where learning has stopped due to
extreme weather.

Nearly 200 schools across the province were damaged after heavy rains and gale-force winds earlier this week.
On Friday, Ntuli visitedThandukwazi Senior Primary School in KwaMashu, one of the hardest-hit.
KZN Department of Education is still assessing the number of flood-damaged schools.

However, the Premier said the slow response by officials is concerning and needs urgent attention.
"Learning is affected quite severely. So, it means we'll be prioritising those 14 schools to ensure that we normalise the situation by providing the mobile classrooms in the interim while we look for a permanent solution," said Ntuli.
"But it's unfortunate that in our government we have such experiences. Since my arrival in office, I addressed the behaviour of our officials in terms of responding timeously on the challenges."
