KZN Premier hails Dundee July’s economic impact

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli says the
Dundee July has proven to be a major boost for the province’s economy.

He said visitors make their way from across the country and beyond the country's borders to attend the traditional horse racing event.
Ntuli said the Dundee July is a key event on KZN's calendar that supports the provincial government’s efforts to boost rural and township economies.
The premier spoke on Saturday at this year’s event in northern KZN.

"We have people who were coming as far as from outside of this country in Lesotho and we also have people coming from all over South Africa," said Ntuli
"This promotes tourism and there are some opportunities created during these days, especially in the local economy.
“It contributes massively. Business owners in the hospitality industry, not just in Dundee but as far as Newcastle, Ladysmith and Nquthu are also benefitting.”Find us on social media
