KZN police arrest three hitmen in Kwambonambi

police have nabbed three suspected hitmen in connection with the murder of a
man and the abduction of his wife in northern KZN.
It's understood that two robbers, disguised as police officers, entered the couple's home in Kwambonambi on Friday.
They demanded a firearm and money and forced the man to leave with them.

KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the suspects went back to the home later and abducted his wife.
“The woman was later found dumped at Mposa area with a gunshot wound to the face and she was rushed to the nearby clinic for medical attention.
"The suspects then shot and killed the husband and his body was found dumped in the bushes.
"Efforts by police officers led the team to Highflats and Umlazi where three suspects were cornered and arrested.
"They were found in possession of three firearms and ammunition of various calibre of firearms.
"A vehicle which was used as getaway from the crime scene was also recovered and seized.”
