KZN officers caught selling ammunition, bullet proof vests

A 46-year-old policeman and his 50-year-old alleged accomplice are appearing before the Durban Regional Court today on accusation they sold police equipment to criminals.
Hawks provincial spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says the policeman - who is based at Bayview Police Station was arrested on Friday.
"There were selling fake equipment and live rounds of ammunition, bullet proof vests, pepper spray as well as the police uniform," he says.

Police say the investigations continue.
