KZN man in hospital after being injured in paragliding accident

A KwaZulu-Natal man is being treated in hospital after being injured in a paragliding accident in Karkloof, west of Durban.
A man, believed to be in his fifties, was paragliding in the Midlands area yesterday when he crashed into a tree. Netcare911 paramedics were then alerted to the incident by a friend.
A helicopter from 15 Squadron in Durban was dispatched to the scene.
Paramedics had to hike a short distance to get to the man because of the terrain.

It is understood the man sustained spinal injuries and multiple fractures.
