A 55-year-old man was allegedly caught selling liquor in Merebank, south of Durban.
He was arrested last week after police were tipped off about his alleged activities.
Police confiscated beers, ciders and other liquor, said to have a total value of R6 000 - as well as cash believed to be the proceeds of the illegal sales.
He appeared in court yesterday and granted R2000 bail.
