KZN Education investigating after two schools torched

The KwaZulu-Natal Education Department is investigating cases of alleged arson and the destruction of government property after two schools were torched at the weekend.
In the first incident, the admin building of Mvuzo High School in the uMgungundlovu District was set alight on Saturday evening.
Officials say the property has been robbed 16 times since it opened in 2017.
Education spokesperson, Muzi Mahlambi says they have partnered with police to address the issue.
"Despite all those measures, they are breaking in. That is why were are involving the police to work around the issue and to find out whether it is an inside job or not," he said.
Meanwhile, Mahlambi says Bathembu High School in the Umzinyathi District was also targeted.
