The country's Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster will hold a briefing on security matters related to Elections 2019 later today.
The briefing is expected to take place in Pretoria at 10.
Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal police say 40 cases were opened on election day.
That's the report back from provincial commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
Speaking at the IEC's results centre at the weekend, Mkhwanazi says many of the cases were linked directly to service delivery protests.
