Isimangaliso saves rhino from brink of death
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Six rhino have been relocated during an emergency rescue within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park due to severe drought conditions.
Four female adults and two calves were dehorned and transported on a 120km journey from the uMkhuze section of the reserve to the Western Shores for better access to water supply.
iSimangaliso Wetland Park CEO Andrew Zaloumi says the drought has caused limited access to food sources and severe nutritional stress for some of the park's wildlife.
