Inquest into deadly Queensburgh house fire

Inquest dockets have been opened after a house fire claimed the lives of an elderly couple in the south of Durban.

Firefighters say the blaze had already engulfed the roof and much of the home in Burlington when they arrived at the scene on Tuesday.
At least nine others survived, suffering smoke inhalation.

A neighbour who bravely helped rescue the family was injured while breaking down a door to get them out.
She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
