Inchanga cop accused of killing wife to remain behind bars
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
An Inchanga police officer accused of killing his wife has been remanded in custody.

School teacher Thobeka Nene was shot and killed in her home in July, allegedly after an argument with her husband Mthokozisi Nene.
He made another appearance in the Camperdown Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
The case has been postponed to the end of next month, when it will be moved to the High Court.
A crowd of community members, the slain teacher's colleagues and social workers protested again outside court.

KZN Social Development spokesperson Mhlabunzima Memela was also there and says there were calls for the officer to be kept behind bars.
"All of them braced this heat outside court, waiting for the court to make a decision. It was a quick process.
"The suspect arrived in court and spent less than five minutes in the witness box and he was taken out after the magistrate postponed the matter."
