IFP: Post Office robberies linked to COVID-19 relief grants
Updated | By Nothando Mkhize
The IFP in KZN has urged the SA Post Office in the province to ramp-up security following a spate of robberies in the province.
Post offices in Hammarsdale, Amanzimtoti and Tongaat were all hit in the space of a week.
Police say cash was stolen. An employee at Tongaat was also assaulted.
The party believes the crimes are linked to COVID-19 relief grant payouts.

The IFP's Blessed Gwala says it's common knowledge that the Post Office carries large amounts of cash to pay beneficiaries.
"We request that SAPO and Hawks get involved in the probing of the situation. You can see that it is a well planned and calculated plan to attack and take the money."
