IFP calls for speedy arrest amid Msinga murder claims

The Inkatha Freedom Party has appealed for calm as police investigate the murder of Msinga councillor Siyanda Magubane.

This after Lungisani Ntuli, a colleague and councillor, left mourners shocked at his funeral recently when he named Msinga Local Municipality Mayor Mlethi Ndlovu as the person behind Magubane's assassination.
The statement was captured in a video shared online.
Ndlovu has denied any involvement.

Ntuli was travelling with Magubane when they came under fire two weeks ago.
"The IFP takes the allegations very seriously and with immediate effect the IFP has dispatched the national council task team to investigate the matter and report back to the NEC of the IFP no later thank the forthcoming Monday," says IFP national spokesperson Mkhuleko Hlengwa.
"We continue to call on the law enforcement agencies to move with the necessary speed and urgency in investigating this murder and attempted murder, to bring this matter to a logical legal conclusion and successful prosecution."
