A senior FIFA official says two of the football federation's officials detained in Zurich on suspicion of corruption are vice presidents Juan Angel Napout of Paraguay and Alfredo Hawit of Honduras.
"The two who were arrested are Juan Angel Napout from Paraguay and Alfredo Hawit Banegas from Honduras," said the FIFA official, who did not want to be named.
Napout is president of the South American Football Confederation while Hawit is president of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football.
In May, US authorities issued charges against 14 FIFA officials over more than $150 million in bribes for broadcasting and marketing contracts.
Then president, Sepp Blatter has since stepped down from his position with FIFA confirming five candidates - including SA's Tokyo Sexwale - to run in the election for a new head in February.
