A manhunt has been launched for four suspects after five people were killed at a bar in Mpumalanga, near Cato Ridge.
Police say they were called out to Dimba Road in the area on Wednesday after reports of a shooting.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says when they arrived at the scene, they noticed four bodies riddled with gunshots lying on the ground.
It's understood that the victims were between the ages of 17 and 35.
Mbele says police were informed that four other victims were rushed to hospital for medical attention.
She says one of them died in hospital.
"It is alleged that four armed men walked into the bar looking for the two males, who noticed the suspects and ran away. The suspects opened fire fatally wounding five people and others were hit by stray bullets.
"Charges of murder and attempted murder were opened at Mpumalanga SAPS for investigation. The docket will be investigated by the Provincial Organised Crime Unit."
