Horror North West crash claims 13 lives

The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) is investigating a crash that claimed the lives of 13 people in North West last night.
RTMC spokesperson Simon Zwane said the crash occurred on the R505, between Wolmaransstad and Ottosdal.
"A minibus taxi and an SUV-type vehicle crashed head-on. The drivers of both vehicles died on the scene," said Zwane.

The crash comes days after North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Dr Mpho Motlhabane, and the newly appointed transport minister, Joe Maswanganyi, launched the province's road safety plan for the upcoming Easter holidays.
