Home Affairs Minister: More help needed in Tongaat
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber has called on other government departments to bring their services to the residents of Tongaat.

It's after a tornado tore through the area more than a month ago, killing seven people.
Schreiber was in the area yesterday to hand over new identity documents.
He says they were approached for more help.

"We have the ability to address one of the key needs of the people here and that's the loss of IDs and other important documents. It really takes away people's dignity because it removes their ability to apply for certain services and to even get a job in some cases.” says Leon Schreiber.
“ So, it doesn't start there, the first step was to obviously come in make sure we get the applications, list of people. It’s not the end completely because even now we have identified a few more people who missed the opportunity to apply and we will be assisting them."
