Hlomuka says his department is working closely with law enforcement officials
to ensure that a man, linked to several rapes at a school in Nkandla, remains
behind bars.

The 28-year-old was rearrested on Thursday, after escaping from police custody in Mariannhill earlier in the week.
He is facing charges in several rape cases, involving pupils, at Bizimali High School.

On Friday, Hlomuka visited the school, and said that rising crime levels at schools across the country have become a serious concern.
"We going to work with police to ensure that the suspect [doesn’t] get bail because he must deal with these challenges and all the law enforcement," he said.
