Hillcrest double-vehicle crash claims two lives

Two people were killed in a car crash in Hillcrest, west of Durban, on Friday morning.

It's understood that two vehicles collided at the corner of Inanda and West Riding Road.
"Two men in a small SUV were found to be severely entrapped, and paramedics immediately assessed them,” said ALS spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

“However, both men, believed to be in their 30s and 40s, had sustained major injuries, and there was nothing paramedics could do for them, and they were declared deceased at the scene.
“The second driver had sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on scene by advanced life support paramedics before being rushed to hospital for the urgent care she required."
