Eskom says while it's working on a recovery plan to restock its coal, it's warning that the risk of Stage Two load shedding remains high for today.

The utility's Dikatso Mothae says the recovery plan would also focus on water reserves at their power generating plants.

"The recovery plan talks to both the coal stock and the power generation unit. [We] are working on a plan to turn that around where ever we can find coal we are going there.

"The issue of the coal is the pricing. We have to get the right pricing in order to get those contracts in place. So, we are working on a turnaround plan so that this time next year - our power stations are in much better shape,” Mothae said.
