Henley & Partners rank world's best passports for 2018
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
What's the world's most powerful passport to own? Henley and Partners have released an Index of the world's best passports.

The South African passport has climbed up two spots to the 50th position on the Henley Passport Index.
These rankings are based on the ability for citizens of that country to visit other states without having to comply with rigorous visa procedures.
Having visa-free access to 189 destinations, Singapore and Japan replace Germany who previously held the number one spot.
Countries such as France, Italy, Norway and Canada occupy the top five positions on the Index.

The biggest climbers include Ukraine, Georgia and the United Arab Emirates.
Now ranked 38th, Ukraine rose by 20 places and its passport can gain access to 128 destinations.
Also up by 20 positions, Georgia allows access to 112 countries and is ranked at number 48. While the UAE is at number 21, and can get you into 159 destinations.
The Middle East has the tightest regulations - with six countries in that region ranking in the bottom five. See those rankings below.
