WATCH: Heavy rains lash KZN, Durban roads waterlogged
Updated | By Lauren Hendricks and Celumusa Zulu
The heavy downpours lashing the KZN coast on Friday morning have left multiple roads in and around Durban waterlogged.

There have been numerous reports of localised flooding in central Durban.
"On the N3 near Brickfield, there's a lot of flooding. On the N2 south [there are] large puddles forming. We also have a multiple vehicle collision as a result of water puddles on the M4 near the Riverside off-ramp, in the Durban North area."
:We [are] also seeing reports coming through of drains blocked with people concerned about flooding in Sydenham area,” says spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, Garrith Jamieson.
The eThekwini Fire Department has been checking on houses in that area as well.
Jamieson has urged motorists to be caution as they navigate dangerous and slippery routes on Friday morning.

Vehicles are moving slowly along flooded portions of the N2/M19 Umgeni intersection, North Coast Road, the M13 Fields Hill and South Coast Road, as well as routes on the Berea.
"Anywhere where there is [a] low road surface and you see water, be cautious and try not to cross any flooded bridges or roads under water,” warned Jamieson.
Dhevan Govindsamy, from PT Alarms, says their teams are on high alert.
He says several routes, including Adams Road in Amanzimtoti, is flooded.

"Motorists should be aware of the N2 at Galleria northbound, it's waterlogged. Also, the M4 southbound just before Jacobs, there's water standing on the road. There are other parts of the roads in Durban, you just have to be cautious of water and debris."
Wiseman Dlamini, a forecaster with the SA Weather Service, says disruptive rainfall under the Yellow level 4 alert is not only expected to lash the coast, but the adjacent interior as well.
"We are expecting 60% to 80% chance [of rain] over KZN. We also have a warning for disruptive rainfall. And that is the rainfall that might cause significant impact for areas along the coast.
“That is your Ugu district, Ilembe district, King Cetshwayo, eThekwini and other districts. That is where we [are] expecting most of the rain. And then inland, there is [a] 60% and 30% chance over the extreme western parts of the province."
