Hammarsdale shootout: Slain officer was planning his wedding
The family of a police officer who was killed in a gun battle with suspected ATM bombers in Hammarsdale says Duncan Zwane had been planning his wedding at the time of his death.
The father of three was part of the team that had followed up on information this week - of a gang that had wanted to blow up an ATM.
Zwane's sister, Philisiwe says they're struggling to come to terms with his death.

"My brother was the type of person who loved people and he loved his job as a police officer. He looked after all of us as his siblings because our parents are deceased. He was planning his wedding to his wife in December. Life ended when he died," she said.
Zwane will be laid to rest on Saturday.
