Hammarsdale massacre: Suspect arrested after months on the run

A second suspect arrested in connection with the Hammarsdale Massacre is in court today - after being on the run for eight months.
The man was arrested by members of the Provincial Task Team on Friday.
In January, six people were killed at a house in Georgedale when gunmen opened fire on them.

Officers say the drug, whoonga was found in the house.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the man will appear in court, also facing six counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
Mbhele says there's already been a conviction in the murder case.
"In March, a 24-year-old suspect appeared at the Pietermaritzburg High Court and he pleaded guilty to six counts of murder as well as one of attempted murder. The following day, he was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment for the murder and 13 years for attempted murder," she says.
