Growing concern at impact of floods on Ladysmith
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
KZN residents should brace themselves for more severe weather this week. The SA Weather Service has issued two warnings.

Tomorrow, a level 2 warning for disruptive rain has been issued for the southeastern parts of KZN.
Forecasters say the amount of rainfall could lead to localised flooding.
A level 2 weather warning for severe thunderstorms has been issued for the northern interior of KZN today.
Officials say heavy rains are also expected- which could lead to flooding roads, low-lying bridges and settlements.

Now residents in the northern KZN town of Ladysmith have barely begun picking up the pieces from a storm that hit earlier this week
Heavy rains left some parts of the area in the Alfred Duma Municipality underwater.
Around 70 people were evacuated and placed in a local sports centre.
The municipality's Mayor Zama Sibisi says there's been massive damage to the town's infrastructure
"Due to the storms some places have no electricity, our network has been affected. The businesses are not operational."
