Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
There was an active crime scene in Greenwood Park, north of Durban, on Thursday morning.

A man has been shot and killed while driving out of a home on Avoca Road.
"A male was fatally shot in what appears to be a targeted hit or attempted hijacking," says KZN VIP's Gareth Naidoo, who was at Thursday morning's scene.
"According to reports from the residence, a white Etios pulled up alongside the victim's vehicle as he was exiting his driveway, and an armed suspect allegedly fired multiple shots towards the driver's side of the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Naidoo says the man was in a critical condition when they arrived on the scene.
"VIP Medics, along with other emergency responders, worked tirelessly to stabilise the victim, but unfortunately, he was later declared deceased due to the severity of his injuries. At this stage, the motive still remains unclear pending SAPS investigation."
