Gardee, who was the daughter of the EFF's former secretary-general and attorney Godrich Gardee, went missing for four days before her battered body was found last week.

She was shot and stabbed.

EFF spokesperson Leigh-Ann Mathys says the party’s leaders will join the Gardee family in court.

"All the accused must be denied bail as they are collectively and undeniably a flight risk. If we want to send a strong message againast the brutal abuse and harrassment and killing of women in this country, the appearence of the accused in this heinous crime must be used as an opportunity to show unity of society against gender-based violence.”
