Fuel prices to remain relatively unchanged in August

Motorists have been given a lifeline in terms of fuel price adjustments for the next month.
The Energy Department announced yesterday that both grades of diesel will come down by four cents a litre.
93 and 95 octane petrol will increase by just one cent a litre.
Earlier in July, some economists had predicted another significant fuel price hike for August - based on the weaker Rand against the US Dollar.
However, lower international oil prices have helped keep prices relatively unchanged.
August's fuel price adjustments kick in at midnight.
South Africans have already had to endure four consecutive fuel price hikes this year, pushing prices to record highs.
