Former Springbok player, Joost van der Westhuizen in critical condition

Former Springbok Joost van der Westhuizen has been taken to hospital and is in a critical condition, his J9 Foundation confirms.

The Foundation asks that Joost and his family's privacy be respected.
The former scrum-half, who won the World Cup in 1995, has been battling motor neuron disease since 2011.
The J9 Foundation shared the latest news about the former Springbok's health on its Facebook page this morning.
