Former SA cricketer faces corruption charges

Cricket South Africa has revealed former Proteas and Dolphins player Gulam Bodi is the cricketer who has been accused of corruption.
In a statement, CSA says Bodi has been charged under its Anti-Corruption Code with contriving to fix, or improperly influence aspects of the 2015 RAM SLAM T20 Challenge Series.
The India-born cricketer, who also played for the Titans and Lions was charged in early December but his identity has been kept secret resulting in speculation.
CSA Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat says Bodi has been provisionally suspended.
"Mr Bodi is presently co-operating with the CSA anti-corruption officials. We now await his response to the charges and the matter will take its course in accordance with the process outlined in the anti-corruption code," he said.
Before today's confirmation, cricket commentator Neil Manthorp was reported as saying the intermediary is almost certain to face prison time for his actions.
